The Reformed Church of Vydrany was built in 1786 in the Classical style, following the Edict of Toleration issued by Emperor Joseph II, which restored freedom of worship for the Reformed faith. It is the village’s second church; the first, a wooden one, was built in 1783. The tower was added at the end of the 18th century, between 1796 and 1797.

The church has a flat, stuccoed ceiling, galleries on two sides, and a longitudinal interior layout. The red marble altar dates from 1845. After a devastating fire in 1873, which destroyed the roof, tower, and bells, the church was rebuilt and reconsecrated in 1880. Its simple façade, Classical architectural features, and star-topped tower are characteristic elements of the building.

The Reformed tradition in Vydrany has deep historical roots. During periods of persecution and the Counter-Reformation, the village served as a safe center of Reformed worship for believers from the surrounding region, including Dunajská Streda. Vydrany has been a parish center since 1683.

The interior is modest yet harmonious, with a carved pulpit, Moses’ chair, galleries, and an organ on the western side. A memorial plaque near the entrance commemorates the victims of World War I. Between 1984 and 1986, the church underwent a full renovation carried out by the local congregation.
