The Town Hall of Šamorín is a National Cultural Monument, built in the Renaissance style in the 17th century. It has been modified several times, and its original tower was destroyed in a fire. The second floor was added in the late 1920s. In the 17th and 18th centuries, it hosted regular meetings of the nobility of Great Rye Island (Žitný ostrov), and occasionally, sessions of the Bratislava County (Pozsony County) were also held here. A prison was located below the level of the town hall, where prisoners from the entire Bratislava County were held. Today, it serves as the seat of the municipal office.
