A Neoclassical manor house built by the Apponyi family in the first half of the 19th century on earlier foundations. It is a two-storey, U-shaped building. The main entrance portal features a simple stone frame, with a stylized stone shell motif flanked by volutes on its keystone. The ground floor rooms are covered with barrel vaults with lunettes, shallow groin vaults, and Prussian vaults, while the upper floor rooms feature flat ceilings.
Later, the estate was owned by Count Rudolf Wiener-Welten, who engaged in horse breeding in the Žitný ostrov (Grosse Schüttinsel) region. After 1921, ownership passed to Dr. Gabriel Kuchta; however, following the events of February 1948, the property was nationalized and repurposed for social care services. This period left significant marks on the manor house, which were successfully restored only after the property was returned to its original owners in 1996.
In 2006 and 2007, the manor house underwent a complete renovation when its new owner, the company Welten a.s., decided to restore its faded beauty. The restoration preserved its original historical appearance while converting it into a modern leisure center. Today, the manor house is more than just a historical monument – it has become a luxury hotel and restaurant that attracts visitors from both Slovakia and abroad.
The estate also features an 18-hole golf course, which ranks among the most beautiful in Slovakia. This unique blend of history, luxury, and sport makes Báč a destination where everyone can find what they are looking for – whether seeking relaxation, a romantic weekend, or active leisure.
