The memorial is located next to the Town Hall in Dunajská Streda and symbolizes the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
It serves as a memento and a reminder of the victims of the dictatorship. The artwork was created by academic sculptor János Nagy. The memorial was ceremoniously unveiled on October 31, 2006.
