The Roman Catholic church, located in the Jánošíková area in Dunajská Lužná, was built in 1786 by Daniel Somogyi on the site of a 13th-century Gothic church. It was completed in 1797 and dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The church received a valuable statue of the Virgin Mary with the Child from monks of the Celldömölk monastery, who were fleeing from the Turks. Until 1975, it also served as a pilgrimage church, and pilgrimages were restored in 1995.
