The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the associated monastery were built between 1722 and 1778 according to the plans of J. G. Altenburger. The church and monastery built by the Paulans are significant works of late Baroque architecture. The church building is single-nave, with a segmentally vaulted sanctuary. Its tower is integrated into the main façade. Its interior walls and vault are adorned with frescoes and decorated artistic paintings. These are primarily works by F. Sogrist from 1778, which capture moments from the life of Saint Francis of Paola.
