The Chapel of Saint George, located in the village of Malinovo, was built between 1869 and 1872 in Neo-Gothic style as the crypt of the Apponyi family. The earthly remains of Count Albert Apponyi and his wife Klotild, his parents György and Júlia, as well as his uncle Károly and his wife Leopoldina, are buried here. Since 1953, the chapel has served as a church for the local parish community up to the present day. The main altar is original, together with the red marble statue of Saint George slaying the dragon, which dates from the 18th century.

The chapel’s Julianna bell bears the name of Count György Apponyi’s wife. It was cast in Wiener Neustadt in the workshop of József Pozdeh and weighs 400 kg.
