The Church of St. Rosalia stands on Rosalia Square, at the boundary between Komárno’s historic centre and the former railway district. Built in the Neoclassical style between 1839 and 1844, it replaced an earlier church dedicated to St. Rosalia that was demolished to make way for the Palatine Line of the Komárno fortress system. Its hemispherical dome and floor plan inspired by Roman rotundas make it one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks. A small Calvary is located next to the church.
