The Romanesque brick church in the village of Mierovo was built sometime in the second half of the 13th century. It originally took the form of a single-nave structure with an extended semi-circular apse. In terms of layout, it is very similar to the nearby church in Šámot. The village was first mentioned in 1252 (though other sources cite 1260). By the 17th century, the building was in poor condition, leading to a Baroque reconstruction in the 18th century. During this period, both the nave and the apse received new flat ceilings. A sacristy was added to the northern side of the apse, and a small turret was built on the roof. The church gained its current appearance during its last major reconstruction in the historicist style at the beginning of the 20th century. Inscriptions and dates from 1759 and 1890 have been preserved on the altar. Older literature mentions its dedication to St. Michael the Archangel. In 2000, the building was declared a National Cultural Monument.
