The house was built on the foundations of an old summer residence dating back to 1610. Academic architect Pavel Mikšík was looking for suitable living quarters that could also serve as a large studio, as he was creating large-scale artworks at the time—such as the fountain in the Medical Garden (Medická záhrada) in Bratislava. At that time, no manor house remained on the site, only a ruin. Since the village was a non-development zone, he could not build a new house and was only allowed to build on the existing foundations. He studied the history of the site and similar buildings of that era and set to work with his own hands. Together with his wife, they built it themselves, dedicating several decades to the project. The house was sold to a new owner years ago, who began remodeling some parts; however, the work has ceased, and the house is currently falling into disrepair.
