The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Stephen King in Horný Bar is a single-nave Baroque–Classicist building with a rectangular-ended presbytery and a tower integrated into its structure, dating from 1778. It stands on the site of an older building.
The interior contains two early Classicist altars from 1780, dedicated to Saint Emeric and the Virgin Mary. The pulpit is Rococo from the late 18th century. There are also two Renaissance epitaphs: Miklós Ištvánfi from 1581 and Ján Lipče from 1606.
The church façades are articulated with pilasters, and the windows are segmentally arched with molded frames. The tower rises from the central gable of the façade, with corner chamfers forming a risalit-like effect. It is finished with a crowning cornice, a small shield motif, and a pyramidal roof. The tower houses two bells: a Renaissance bell and an early Baroque bell from 1632 made by G. Moháči.
