In Dunajská Streda, the Žitný ostrov Fairies appeared in the form of statues in 1988 as decorations for the fountain in the park in front of the Municipal Cultural Center. Due to the gradual deterioration of the fountain, its reconstruction began in 2010, and the fairies disappeared from the park for several years. They returned to their place on April 27, 2012, and since then the square has become a popular spot for social gatherings.
