One of the most impressive buildings in Dunajská Streda is the Yellow Castle. This spacious two-story castle, built in 1753, was commissioned by Bishop Márton Padányi Biró of Veszprém. The castle, which has faced various challenges throughout its history, has been home to the Museum of Žitný ostrov since 1972. As its name suggests, it presents visitors with the local history and ethnographic collection of the region.
