The convent school next to the Catholic church was built in 1902 by Countess Adél Köröspataky Kálnoky, as indicated by the inscription placed on its side. Until 1944 it was used by the Saint Elzár School, and subsequently by the Hungarian primary school until 2004. A memorial plaque dedicated to the priest-poet Jenő Farkas was installed on its wall in 2006.
