The Roman Catholic church in Baroque style was built in 1747 by the Esterházy family. As the oldest public building in the village, it was named after the apostles Saints Peter and Paul, following its consecration in 1750. In 1877, a massive fire swept through the village, destroying not only the church roof but also the tower and organ, while damaging the bells. The church was rebuilt into its present form in 1882 and remains a prominent landmark of the village to this day.
