The first church in Kameničná was built in 1756, and the first resident pastor was sent here in 1763.

Between 1756 and 1763 the parish was probably administered by Franciscan monks from Komárno. This can be deduced from the first Latin entry, which also shows that a Franciscan monk (Fr. Ferenc Szaliczky) was present at the consecration of the first church. So the first permanent pastor came here in 1763.

The first church was erected on the site where the present church stands.

The second church was consecrated on 15 December 1828. The waters of the Váh also damaged the parish, so in 1833 it was demolished. On 24 February 1867, the church structure and its six beams above the choir came down, destroying the organ and the entire choir. After the incident, there was no church in Kameničná for three years until the construction of the new church began on 24 May 1869, which was completed on 16 July 1870 and consecrated a few days later on 24 July by the district deacon, Alajos Miklosovich, parish priest of Kolárovo. After that, the necessary things were continuously added to the church, such as the organ and later the pews.
