The park cannot deny its former connection with the Danube, as it is located around an old arm of the river. For centuries, it has been a favorite spot for the residents of Šamorín and the surrounding areas; this wooded area was first mentioned in 1786. In the 10-hectare forest park, a nature trail showcases its natural values in the cooling shade of giant trees. There is an amphitheater located on the former dry bed of the Danube arm, serving as a venue for significant cultural events. In a hidden part of the park, surrounded by trees, stands a unique architectural masterpiece: the largest wooden pergola in Slovakia, with an octagonal layout without internal support (diameter 12.8m), built in 1933. Pomlé is an exciting meeting place for culture and nature, as well as an important refuge for both people and wildlife in the agricultural landscape of the upper Žitný ostrov.
