The 1848 Memorial in Dunajská Streda pays tribute to the events of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence. Each year, the city’s official commemorations of 1848–49 are held here. The monument, created by sculptor György Lipcsey, was unveiled on 15 March 1995.
