Franz Lehár was a world-famous operetta composer originally from Komárno. In the city, there is a street and a park named after him. In Lehár Park, there is a statue created by Emil Venkov in 1980. The park is located on the site of the composer’s birthplace. His most famous work is the operetta The Merry Widow (Die lustige Witwe).
