The most significant monument in the town of Gabčíkovo is the Roman Catholic Church of St. Margaret of Antioch, whose predecessor certainly stood in the 14th century. It took on its current appearance in the 1970s and 1980s of the 18th century when Count Amade Tádé remodeled and reconstructed the church in a late Baroque style. From the former Gothic style, only one arched window, a late Gothic portal, and the foundation walls remain. On the outer wall of the sanctuary, above the entrance to the crypt, we find the coat of arms and motto of the Amade family: Amore et candore (To love and to shine). The vaults of the main nave of the church are adorned with works by the Nové Zámky painter Teodor Székházy from the early 20th century. On its main altar is the figure of St. Margaret of Antioch, a work by the Nitra painter Michal Fay (1929), above which is a painting of St. Anne and the young Mary.
