The County Hall of Komárom is one of the city’s most important Neoclassical public buildings. Originally constructed in 1798 in the Late Baroque style as the seat of the historic Komárom County, it was extensively rebuilt in 1813 in the Neoclassical style, giving it its present appearance. The coat of arms of the historic County of Komárom can still be seen above the main entrance. The building played a central role in the county’s administration and remains one of Komárno’s most important architectural landmarks.
