Those who regularly search for tours on websites often encounter titles that are not clear, meaning they cannot deduce what the tour is about. However, in this case, the name of the cycling tour reveals what can be expected from it by those who choose this route. Utilizing the cycling path along the Danube, we invite you to a 64 km bike ride, during which you will experience alternating “European rainforests” untouched by humans and the man-maintained Danube landscape. The route starts and ends in the village of Hamuliakovo, so there is no need to worry about how to get back to our cars.

The village located in close proximity to Šamorín is especially known for its hotels and its harbor. Kormorán Park is a great place for a summer evening stroll, and the harbor along the Danube offers an excellent opportunity to spend an afternoon by the water, as swimming is also possible here.
Saint Anton, which is part of Báč, has historically been and still is a well-known pilgrimage site. Among its landmarks is the Franciscan church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. In the crypt beneath it rests several members of the Apponyi family, as well as the poet Ladislav Amade. The village also features the Apponyi Manor, which currently operates as a hotel.
Through the villages of Kyselica and Baka, we reach the village of Gabčíkovo, which is well-known to most people for the nearby hydroelectric power plant. Although the route we offer does not pass through the town itself but only along its outskirts, it is worth visiting the Chateau Amade and its surrounding park. According to tradition, Maria Theresa gave birth to Joseph II in this chateau.
The banks of the Danube, castles, and churches are replaced by nearly untouched nature. The riparian forests along the Danube are unique natural formations, as they are said to be similar to Central European tropical forests. The Šulianske and Vojkovské lakes also add variety to the tour, which is already full of attractions. An astonishing sight is the so-called Sea Eagle.
The village located in close proximity to the Danube is known among the residents of Žitný ostrov for its local ferry, which operates between Vojka and Kyselica. From the perspective of the tour, it is extremely important, as the ferry takes us across the river, after which we return to the village of Hamuliakovo via the Danube cycling path, thus concluding our cycling tour.
