The name of the next tour may be misleading because it includes the word ‘thermal,’ but it is actually a cycling tour. We recommend it for those who enjoy being active but also seek relaxation at the end of the day. The route we offer connects the thermal baths and water parks of Žitný ostrov in one cycling tour. Participants have the opportunity to visit various thermal baths, but by cycling, they can also explore the nature of Žitný Island and protect the environment, as their emissions will be almost zero. The starting point is Komárno, and the destination is Dunajská Streda. This route is also ideal for those who prefer to cycle only in one direction, as there is (indirect) train service between these cities.

Komárno, located on the banks of the Danube, was once an important port and, over the course of history, was divided into two parts. The authorities established one Slovak town (Komárno) and one Hungarian town (Komárom) on the site of the old settlement. The Slovak town is also referred to as Northern Komárno or Old Komárno, and it serves as the most important cultural and political center for Hungarians living in Slovakia. In addition to the city tour program, the local thermal baths offer excellent recreational opportunities for visitors.
Veľký Meder is rightfully famous for its thermal baths, and the town is also connected to King Matthias, the central figure of a local legend. As in many other places in Hungary, King Matthias appeared here in disguise to deliver justice between the feudal lords and the townspeople. The official name of the baths is Thermal Corvinus, in honor of the just King Matthias. Located in a particularly pleasant environment, in an 80-hectare forest park, it offers 13 outdoor and indoor pools for visitors seeking relaxation.
The thermal baths located on the outskirts of the village have been welcoming mainly local visitors since the 1980s. The baths offer three pools, as well as a campground that is part of the facility. It's impossible to overlook the nature surrounding the village, as it opens up a view of the nearly untouched landscape of the Little Danube, located in the nearby protected area.
Dunajská Streda is the 'football capital' of Southern Slovakia, as there isn't a football fan who doesn't know the local football team. However, a popular destination for many is the thermal baths and aquapark, which attract numerous tourists to this town on the Danube Island throughout the year due to the favorable composition of its thermal water. The thermal water rises from a depth of 1,600 meters, reaching a surface temperature of 57 °C. The 18-hectare area features 10 outdoor and indoor pools. A classic recreational experience is provided by the lake located within the bath complex, which is suitable for swimming and water sports.
