The Little Danube forms the northern border of the Žitný Island, and throughout history, it has provided the people living here with quality water and food. Currently, fishing is almost completely prohibited along the river, as it is part of an important protected area. Today, it is used by water sports enthusiasts, whether for boats, kayaks, canoes, or rafts. The water tour we offer is longer than the usual routes, as it covers almost the entire Little Danube. Three days, nearly 80 km, and beautiful nature.

The starting point is the village of Tomášov, where it is worth visiting the wooden promenade built along the Little Danube. The first section is the longest; however, during the tour, there are stops and campsites available for tired paddlers. The first day concludes in the village of Jelka, where there is an excellent restaurant, and it is possible to spend the night in a tent or at a local guesthouse.
Before we embark on the second day, it’s worth taking a look at the water mill, which is one of the most famous attractions of the Žitný Island. On the second day, we will paddle 28 km, so we will spend many hours (about 6 hours) rowing, but there’s no need to worry, as there are many opportunities to rest along the riverbank. Special mention should be made of the Bird Park (for those who are not yet sufficiently tired from paddling, beach volleyball can also be played) and the water wheel mill in Tomášikovo.
The destination for the second day is the village of Jahodná, where we can also see the third water mill of this tour, but only from the boats. We can spend the night at a guesthouse located here or in tents at a campsite set up for camping. The third section is dedicated to nature, as there are no campsites or villages along the riverbank. This allows us to admire the beauty of the Little Danube, whose highlight is the protected area of the Klátovské arm of the Little Danube flowing near Topoľníky.
