The oldest historical and religious monument in the town is the Roman Catholic Church of St. George. Its foundations date back to the Árpád dynasty period, and the stone church was built in 1329. Over the centuries, the church was rebuilt several times, and in the mid-17th century, it acquired a Baroque appearance. The main altar of the building, renovated at the beginning of the new millennium, is decorated with a painting of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Above it stands a statue of the protector and patron, St. George on horseback.
