The old church that stood on the site of the Church of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas (one of the old bells indicates the year 1467) was in such a dilapidated state by the end of the 19th century that it had to be demolished. On the site of the demolished building, a church was built, whose foundation stone was laid in February 1899, consecrated on October 28, 1900, and was re-blessed on August 5, 1912.
