On January 13 and June 20, 1849, two military battles took place in the cadastral area of the village between the imperial troops and the Hungarian insurgent units. These events are commemorated by a monument relocated to the end of Orlova Street and by an obelisk in the cemetery, erected in honor of the heroic victims of these battles.
