The Zichy Palace is a three-bay, two-storey building originally constructed in the Baroque style in the second half of the 17th century. It underwent modifications in 1763, 1798, and 1870, when it acquired its present Neoclassical appearance. In the early 19th century, the building hosted ceremonial events, balls, and theatrical performances. Today, it belongs to the Danube Region Museum.

The façade facing Župná Street is designed in the Classical style, featuring a central avant-corps articulated by pilasters and crowned with a triangular pediment with a tympanum. The portal has a semicircular stone surround with a keystone; above it is a balcony with wrought-iron railing bearing the initials of the Zichy family. The Neoclassical façade facing General Klapka Square is flanked by corner towers decorated with rustication and topped with mansard roofs. The main façade is dominated by a three-axis avant-corps with a continuous balcony finished with a balustrade. The windows are framed with decorative surrounds and segmental pediments.
